The South Beach Sun Can Cause Wrinkles

Everyone knows how hot the night life is in South Beach, but did you know that the close proximity to the sun makes the Miami sun a serious wrinkle-inducing element?

It's true. The sun is a serious threat to your skin in Miami. The amount of sunshine that is cast down on your skin each and every day causes wrinkles. Whether you see sun damage today, or you wait until you see facial wrinkles later on in your life, these are all aftershocks of the sun. The sun can seriously ruin your skin, and it's important you treat it with the best sunscreen possible.

Some companies use some very high-end ingredients, called peptides, to treat wrinkles. If you haven't heard, the best sunscreens on the market use peptides to not only protect your skin, but also moisturize it and prevent wrinkles from forming.

It's suggested that if you are very serious about preventing wrinkles, you should use an SPF formula of 25 or higher.

The bottom line is, be careful in the South Beach sun. Always use sunblock, and re-apply it often!

Skin Care Products Made in Miami

There are a number of skin care products made right here in the Miami area. Of course, the close proximity to the port of Miami, as well as the local population getting pelted with the hot Florida sun does wonders for business. Here are a few of the products that we know are made right here in Miami.

For starters, you have the anti aging cream makers, EliteSkin. Made with ingredients imported from as far as France and Switzerland, this manufacturer has done very well this year with their flagship product, the Elite Serum. Of course, there are some other companies worth noting as well, such as Dr. Brandt. Strixaderm is a little known yet powerful line of skin care products made in the same lab as EliteSkin. It's marketed more towards the European market, but is a solid anti aging cream with the same FDA inspection that Elite has.

It really is nice having so many solid companies right here in Miami. Many people associate Miami with being a scammy place, home to many boiler rooms. However, some local companies are certainly doing their part in making sure that moniker is something that is in the past.

South Beach Recovering?

Does anyone out there know how South Beach is these days? I haven't spent time there in a minute. I wanted to know if the restaurants are busy, if Ocean Drive is doing better after the drop-off in tourism, and what the good late night spot is.

Of course I expect many different types of answers, but who will give me the best one?

I wonder how South Beach will be when the Super Bowl is in Miami in a few months? Last time the Super Bowl came around Ocean Drive was a mess. Espn was set up across from the Clevelander, and PTA and all the other shows broadcast right from the beach! I remember being in the background of the Jim Rome Show in the 2006 Super Bowl.

Joey Porter Ridin' Dirty

Have you seen who the players think is the second dirtiest player in the NFL today? IF you haven't get ready for some news, Dolphans. People are calling Joey Porter the second dirtiest player in the NFL today, behind only former teammate Hines Ward.

The survey will be outlined in Sports Illustrated on Wednesday, and it was the result of players who replied to a survey asking them who they thought was a dirty player.

Porter is a vocal leader of the Miami Dolphins, and a big part of their successful run to the post-season last year.
